Missions (Page 3)
Greetings from Kathryn & Rob, A big “Thank you” to those who keep us here in Japan through your praying, and financial giving. Japanese sometimes ask us how long we have been in Japan, and Kathryn rounds down by saying, “More than a quarter century”. Sounds kind of long that way. Living in Japan we miss our kids, but are enjoying regular Zoom times with them. Tess and Jacob are in Toronto, Julia is on a Coop work term in…

Thank you all for your love and support, we feel very covered in prayer! In this letter we will share with you a little update from these past few weeks, what we are up to now, and some prayer/praise items. What Have These Past Few Weeks Looked Like? Leading up to our…
Entry Exemption Documents Are In and Another Call to Prayer
Hey everyone! Thank you all SO much for joining us in prayer about our travel ban exemption. We are excited to share that we, along with 40 other incoming Faith Academy staff, received our entry exemption document (EED) from the Filipino Department of Foreign Affairs. Praise God! We are so grateful for your prayers, and for the visa team at Faith Academy that worked tirelessly to obtain the exemption document. The EED granted us permission to apply for our visas,…

Hitachinaka Happenings
Update by Rob and Kathryn Fleming from Hitachinaka Japan.
They are on their Way!
Greetings again from Hitachinaka City in Northern Japan! The “Kathryn and Julia return to Japan” saga seems to be coming to an end. They both got their negative COVID tests back in plenty of time (this time) and will fly from Toronto Wednesday afternoon. PTL Julia will continue to study on-line “at” U of Waterloo, and Kathryn and I will ask God for some fruit! We have lived here previously, and already know some folks who might be interested in…

Rob and Kathryn Fleming Update
Our return to Japan was planned for early May (Now!), but with a state of emergency declared by the Japanese Government until May 31, it seems best to continue “sheltering in place” here in Waterloo until international travel is deemed safe by both Canadian and Japanese authorities. We are encouraged to have been able to be a part of Grady and Brittany’s Zoom wedding in April and have been able to add an extra month to our apartment lease here…

Fleming March Updates
Rob & Kathryn It has only been two weeks since our previous update (see below), but with current events wreaking havoc with all of our well-laid plans, we thought a quick update would be helpful. Quite a few have asked us how Covid-19 is affecting our plan to return to Japan at the end of April. Of course, just like everyone, we are dealing with a brand new, anxious reality. New prayer requests: 1. Our return to Japan will be…

Update from Rob and Kathryn Fleming
Where did the summer go? Some of it was spent down at the pond, with evidence below. This summer we met a high school friend in Espanola, who drove from Elliot Lake to meet us! Wish it could have been longer, as that is why we are here in Canada. We have enjoyed rich fellowship with good friends and family along the way so far, and look forward to more in the coming weeks. Please feel free to let us…
