Flemings in Japan

Flemings in Japan

We have a special update, that hopefully will catch your attention before this weekend. Sometimes prayer needs develop quickly!

Mr. Muroga, a Japanese mechanic who keeps our old car here in Japan on the road became a Christian about 3 years ago. His 82-year-old mom will get baptized this Easter Sunday in nearby Mito church. He led her to the Lord! Rob will preach from Luke 24 about Jesus` unusual encounter with the two disciples escaping to Emmaus. Please pray that Grandma Muroga would not be as frightened as the two Jesus encountered!

Kathryn has invited Yuuko, a single senior neighbourhood friend, to come to the baptism. Kathryn and Yuuko have met weekly Discovery Bible Studies over the past two years, but this will be her first time in a church building. Please pray that Yuuko would not be afraid to come, and that she would find her seeking finally ends with confident faith.

For those who know from our prayer update from a month ago, Rob has been slowly recovering from 2 herniated disks in his lower back. He is well enough to stand and can walk with one crutch. Pray for a bit more progress, as the end of May will find us in Ontario for a summer Home Assignment. Please pray!

Finally, we mentioned in our last prayer update our need for a CAR for our Home Assignment from June to September. We have many km to travel all over Ontario this summer, and no wheels as of yet! We are praying that someone reading this might be willing to part with a CAR they don`t need. We could borrow for the summer, or buy if necessary. Please pray, and if possible, respond.
