Fleming March Updates
Rob & Kathryn It has only been two weeks since our previous update (see below), but with current events wreaking havoc with all of our well-laid plans, we thought a quick update would be helpful. Quite a few have asked us how Covid-19 is affecting our plan to return to Japan at the end of April. Of course, just like everyone, we are dealing with a brand new, anxious reality. New prayer requests: 1. Our return to Japan will be…

Update from Rob and Kathryn Fleming
Where did the summer go? Some of it was spent down at the pond, with evidence below. This summer we met a high school friend in Espanola, who drove from Elliot Lake to meet us! Wish it could have been longer, as that is why we are here in Canada. We have enjoyed rich fellowship with good friends and family along the way so far, and look forward to more in the coming weeks. Please feel free to let us…

Update from Rob and Kathryn Fleming
Greetings today from Rob and Kathryn.Just another day for most of us…March 11.8 years ago, our lives were changed, as were many lives in northeastern Japan. Our life was literally turned upside down.Today Kathryn remembered a devotional she read hours before the triple disaster hit our neighbourhood. She read this at about 8 AM on 3/11. Our lives changed at 2:46 PM, that same day. Many have said that Japanese have become more spiritually sensitive, and many have come to Christ because…

Warmest early Christmas greetings our friends: Winter, 2018 Tokyo Christmas doesn’t really “Deck the Halls” for us in a country where less than 0.5% of the people identify as followers of Jesus. But that doesn’t stop the holiday sales! As in Canada, as soon as Halloween has mercifully faded away, selling in the name of Santa is…
Jonathan and Bel Griffiths Update
Dear Fellow Travellers, It is the beginning of October, and I wanted to give you an update on where things stand as of right now and things you can bring before the Lord in prayer. August was a power-packed month of documenting and handing over 15 years of ministry to different people within TWR Europe and CAMENA. To add to the strain, many of these people are setting up home, and the new office on Cyprus so connecting became difficult…
Update from Rob and Kathryn Flemming -Maiko Baptism
Near the end of July, we asked you to pray for Maiko, a single mom of a four year old girl who lives in Hitachi and has been attending Hitachi Hope Church for three years. She was baptized in the Pacific Ocean the day after a typhoon! The rains ceased a couple hours before the scheduled time, but both Maiko and Rob were baptized several times each by typhoon generated waves. She is the newest member of the Hitachi church,…
Update from Jake & Leidy Paul
This update will finish off our little mini-series of updates by focusing on our third topic: us. We figured that aside from our main work projects, we should let you know about the other things going on in our lives and fill you in on how we are doing emotionally, physically, spiritually, etc. Honestly, this is probably the hardest of the updates to write because it is sometimes hard to put our feelings, struggles, and personal victories into words and…
Rob and Kathyrn Fleming Update
Greetings from Tokyo. When at a crossroads, one has four choices! Choose left or right, continue straight ahead or reverse course. We lived our first 20 years in Japan as church planters, learning how to love Japanese in the Ibaraki country side into the kingdom of God. So many good years invested into the lives of Japanese people who occasionally responded with faith in Jesus, sometimes after months, but more so after years of seed sowing and watering. The past…
