Village Green Newsletter – November 2025
Welcome to the November Newsletter. Here at Village Green Community Church, we continue to see God’s faithfulness in the lives of our people, the growth of our ministries, and the deepening sense of community among us. Hitachinaka Happenings -Coming Home
Just before we left Japan, we asked our supporting churches and friends to pray regarding our transition. Specifically, we asked for prayer for a car, an apartment, and for our boxes shipped by sea mail via the post office(!) to arrive in a timely manner.The Lord answered “more than we could ask or imagine” with a car that meets our needs, and we are now “continuing together in one Accord”. October marks a meaningful time in the life of our church. As the seasons shift, we are reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness that carries us through times of change. This month brings opportunities for worship, fellowship, and service together as a body of Christ. May these gatherings not only strengthen our community but also equip us to serve faithfully in the world, bearing witness to the hope we have in Christ.

We have recently finished the 24’-25’ school year and would love to share some personal updates and ministry highlights from this past semester! Our Home God has truly blown us away with providing such a wonderful home for us. We love our new space and feel like it has really helped us rest. We love the fresher air and slightly cooler temperatures (even a degree or two makes a difference!) that come along with being in a more mountainous area.…
Hitachinaka Happenings
Greetings from Hitachinaka, Japan. At the end of September of this year we will be returning home to Canada, 33 years after our initial appointment to Japan in 1992. We will spend October to December, 2025 visiting with family, looking for an apartment in the Waterloo area, and setting said apartment up for the next step in God’s plan for us. After all these years in Japan, the only things we have stored in Canada is Rob’s fishing stuff! We…

Hi all! Thank you again, for praying for our housing situation! This is just a short update on how things have progressed on the housing front. Some things to praise God for: Our landlord said that he would keep the security deposit, which is common practice in the Philippines even when lease agreements are fulfilled. However, he said that he wanted to help us out, and knew that as a young family, we probably needed more space. So he agreed…
