Welcome to the November Newsletter. Here at Village Green Community Church, we continue to see God’s faithfulness in the lives of our people, the growth of our ministries, and the deepening sense of community among us. As we look toward the latter part of the year, may we each find fresh reasons to give thanks to God—for His provision, His presence, and His promises that never fail.
NOVEMBER SCHEDULE
November 2 – There is lots happening at this service so please take note:
– This is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. There will be a special prayer time at the church beginning at 9 am before the morning service.
– This is also when Daylight Saving ends, so please remember to set your clocks one hour back before going to bed Saturday night.
– It is also our Communion Service, so if you are watching from home and want to participate, please have the elements prepared before hand.
November 16 – This is our next Soup Sunday immediately following the service. Sign up will be available in the foyer for those who want to provide soup.
November 2, 9, 16 – We continue with the last three messages in our series, The Search for Meaning: A Journey Through Life’s Questions. The Life Group session will also conclude when the series ends. The next session of Life Groups will begin in the new year, January 11, 2026.
November 23 – This is a Sunday where we focus on Missions. Our speaker for the morning service is Haydn Jensen, the Chair of our Missions Committee.
November 30 – This is our next Celebration Sunday! If you are considering baptism, parental dedication, or membership, this service is a celebration of spiritual milestones and the way God is blessing our church. We hope you will join us for an inspirational morning you don’t want to miss. You can contact the church at office@villagegreenchurch.com.
Our Christmas series begins on November 30th, which is the first Sunday of Advent, with the lighting of the Advent candle each week through to Christmas Eve. This year’s series is entitled The Wondrous Story.
A reminder that ALPHA continues on Sunday evenings in the large room downstairs, beginning at 7 pm.
CHRISTMAS CHOIR
Rehearsals for the Christmas Choir continue throughout November on Sundays from 5 – 6:30 pm in the main auditorium.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY
The next Bible study will be on the book The Case for Christmas by Lee Strobel. This is a 4-week study which begins: Wednesday, November 12th at 9:30 am.
Please bring $5 for the study as soon as possible. Looking forward to having you join us as we learn more about the Birth of Jesus!
WE NEED YOUR HELP?
There are two challenges that are presenting themselves that we would like your help with. The first concerns accessibility parking. We only have a few spots available and they fill up fast. If you need access to accessibility parking, could you let us know by adding your name to the list in the foyer. This will help us determine the need and how many spaces we need to have available. Also, if we can make an effort, if you are able, to leave spaces closer to the doors for those needing easier access and for potential guests.
Secondly, the auditorium continues to fill up on Sunday mornings, so space is at a premium. We are asking that you make sure to move into the center of the rows so others can find empty seats more readily. We would also like to remind you that we have the Overflow Room available with extra seating.

COMING JANUARY 2026!
Mark your calendars for a new offering from Village Green Community Church. Starting on January 11 of 2026, we are offering a course entitled, Understanding the Bible: From Context to Application. If you’ve ever wanted to learn about interpreting the Bible, understanding the different genres, or how to apply its teachings to our modern world, then this course is for you.
The course is being offered on Sunday nights starting January 11 and will run from 6-8 pm. The cost of the course is $20.00 to cover photocopying and administrative costs. The course will run for 10 weeks, but a full schedule will be posted in the coming weeks. Sign-up sheets will be available in the foyer later in the month, but if you want to reserve a spot now, you can let us know by emailing leadpastor@villagegreenchurch.com.
UPDATE ON REVELATION RELEASE
My latest book, Revelation from 30,000 Feet: Reclaiming the Most Abused and Misused Book of the Bible, is on track for a pre-Christmas release. I am starting to take pre-orders for the book for those who are interested in grabbing a copy. You can add your name to the pre-order list by emailing axia.pub@gmail.com with your name and the number of copies you would like. The cost of the book is $25.00, but payment is not required until the books are ready to go. This is only a list to let us know to reserve a copy. Thank you to those who have already placed an order.
This will be the final free chapter being offered as the book is set to release next month. The chapters released so far have been introductory but this free offering is the opening chapter of the commentary section that looks at chapter 1 of Revelation. Enjoy!
