Coldest Night Walks 2013
The Walking Freezers were back for a second year on February 23, 2013, helping to raise funds for Mission Services, and sharing the community of 160 people in yellow toques. As we walked through downtown London there were lots of horns honking support and people asking what we were doing. They knew we were doing something good!
Christmas Letter 2014
To our Village Green Community Church family; Welcome to our Christmas letter for 2014. Darlene and I want to take the time right now and wish you a Merry Christmas. Certainly the most common refrain we’ve heard is how quickly this year has evaporated. So with that in mind, we pray that in the midst of the year’s busiest season you will get a chance to pause, breathe, and reflect. But most of all, take a moment to celebrate our…

Why We had to Postpone Day Camp for 2014?
One of the most effective programs we run as a church is Day Camp. Over the years it has grown not only in excellence, but also in reputation in our community as an effective week for touching young lives with spiritual truths. Which is why it may surprise you that it is being cancelled for this year. It was not an easy decision for the leadership to make but it’s because of our commitment to the integrity of the program…
When Winter is Long…Love
As I write this blog a polar vortex is tightening its grip outside, driving temperatures lower and piles of snow higher. Groundhog Day has just passed where an oversized rodent has predicted six more weeks of winter (which is not groundbreaking news to anyone around here) and Christmas is behind us and as distant in the rearview mirror as the rest of 2013. The truth is that this time of year can be hard…really hard. It is February – or…
Old Photos, Social Media & The Future
Have you heard of photobombing? It is the “art” (term used loosely) of appearing in a picture that you aren’t supposed to be in. So when you look through those special photos taken on your family holiday, there is some strange person making a face in the background just above Aunt Mildred’s head. Thanks to a photographic digital age and social media, photobombing is becoming quite popular. Well, I got photobombed in a different way a couple of months ago. …
2013 Christmas Letter
To our Village Green Community Church family; Well, it’s Christmas time again. Another year is drawing to a close and with it comes time for reflecting on the past year while looking forward to the next. With respect to 2013, it has been an incredible year. We continue to experience growth, we’ve entered into a building program, and our involvement with our community has deepened in significant ways. With all that we have to praise God for, the prospects before…
Changing Lives by the Square Foot – Our Building Plans
We want to make every square foot count at Village Green, because every foot represents a life. We’ve been talking recently about changed lives – people finding not only a home here at Village Green but also a place to grow in their walk with Jesus Christ. Many people have shared their wonderful testimonies of what God is doing here and for the future he is shaping us for. Our church mission – to Love God, Love Others, and to…
Looking Forward
I find it hard to imagine that we are looking at the latter half of August. Soon we will be in the throes of September and all the activity this time of year brings. With that in mind, I want to give you some highlights of what is coming. Our “Changing Lives by the Square Foot” Fundraiser As many of you know, we have officially begun raising money for our new addition. Prior to the official launch the Elders, Board…
