Here is this week’s newsletter. Thanks so much for taking the time to connect with us and staying up to date. Again, this is a long update but has a number of important items. As a region, we have now entered into Stage 3 as announced by the government this week. As a church, nothing has really changed in terms of the numbers that will be allowed to meet indoors, but the one detail that was important to note is that this stage has an indefinite end date.

What We Learned in the First Year of Live Streaming Our Services
Our church began live streaming our services a year ago this month. It was a decision that took some time in the making but we had become convinced it was a natural progression for our church. After a year of live streaming, this is what we’ve learned.
How Leaders Affect the Future
I once served on a church planting committee for a large denomination. As a group, we were responsible for interviewing potential planters and gauging whether they would be able to successfully start a new congregation. We had a myriad of assessment tools that we used but one in particular stood out. It dealt specifically with measuring the visioning capacity of the person. 2018 Canadian Church Leaders Conference – Highlights and Conference Notes
This year, along with two staff members from our church, I attended the Canadian Church Leaders Conference held June 14-16th at Connexus Church in Barrie, Ontario. This is the second year for this gathering and its primary attraction for me is its focus on the Canadian church. Though I appreciate the wealth of material and conferences that our friends south of the border provide, they have little to no understanding of the church dynamics in Canada.
