Welcome to this week’s update from Village Green Community Church. Here are a few new items as well as some timely reminders for the upcoming week.
Would You Consider Praying for…
- The many frontline workers who are serving people within our community and exposing themselves to a level of risk.
- The new people who are joining us online – that they receive hope, encouragement, peace, and most of all, the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- For the leadership. We were scheduled to have our yearly Leadership Retreat in early May, but it has now become a multi-week online meeting beginning May 13. This is an important time for the Staff, Board, and Elders to evaluate and make key decisions for the ministry year. As you can imagine, this season that we are presently experiencing is going to frame the future in ways we need to be prepared for.
Kids Connection
We have some new offerings this week as Orange continues to expand its resources for stay at home families. Every Sunday morning, they will stream their weekly teaching and worship video experiences. These will also include parent/child conversation guides, activities, and much more.
Simply go to theparentcue.org/faith to view the video experience for each grade level.
You can also download the free Parent Cue app from their website for Apple and Android devices.
Communion
May is just around the corner and we want to remind you that the first Sunday of the month is our regular Communion time (May 3rd). Make sure you have bread and juice ready so your family can participate in the service.
How to Study the Bible – Now into Week 3!
A reminder that every Monday evening at 8:00 pm, I am doing a YouTube Live study on How to Study the Bible. To be part of the study you can search my name on YouTube for livestream/jonkorkidakis or find the links on facebook.com/jkorkidakis. or on my website at www.jkorkidakis.com
