Dear Friends,
It has already been 3 weeks in Canada and while it always seems like a whirlwind, it is a good whirlwind. We have enjoyed meeting new people, new communities and have felt very loved and encouraged. Thanks for being interested in our project and for walking with El Nido through prayer and encouragement.
This month, we invite you to pray with us for:
New mothers entering the application process and our team walking alongside them
Please pray for wisdom, discernment, and grace as we continue meeting young women and their families. Many expressed interest in joining the program, but some have struggled to continue showing up during the process. Please pray that God would stir their hearts, give them motivation and openness to participate, and help them recognize the value of this opportunity for themselves and their babies.
As we continue through family visits and conversations, please also pray for protection, sensitivity, and guidance as we enter vulnerable spaces and build relationships with care.
Our current group of mothers
Many are reaching an important stage in the program where challenges such as discouragement, financial pressure, and family difficulties can affect their journey. Please pray for perseverance, renewed hope, and for families to engage in Family School so mothers feel strengthened rather than alone.
A mother and her daughter in urgent need
Please pray for provision, justice, and restoration in the life of a young mother and her daughter who are facing very difficult circumstances. We are praying for safe housing, dignity, and a work opportunity that fits her responsibilities as a mother. We are also asking God to guide us as we seek practical ways to walk alongside them and help provide care, stability, and support during this season.
Celebration
This month we celebrate every mother who continues showing up because sometimes perseverance itself is a victory.
