Village Green Newsletter for May 2022

Village Green Newsletter for May 2022

Here is the newsletter update for the month of May 2022. We have some interesting updates to share with you.

Two of our elders will be speaking this month. The dates are as follows:

May 1 – Jason Snelgrove – A reminder that this is a Communion Sunday.
May 8 – Brent Paul – Mother’s Day
May 15 – Jon Korkidakis
May 22 – Jon Korkidakis
May 29 – Jon Korkidakis. Celebration Sunday

Our series for the month of May is Only Jesus. There are moments in the life of Jesus where the only reasonable thing you can do is just respond in wonder and amazement. From teaching that was authoritative and inspired, to healing that touched people in their deepest needs, they all point to the same conclusion. Only Jesus could do that.

Join us for this provocative new series. Life Groups are also in session. We have groups that meet in person as well as online. For the format, dates, and times of the various groups please contact the church at

Sunday, May 29th is a Celebration Sunday. These are the services where we celebrate baptisms, memberships, parental dedications, and personal testimonies.

If you are interested in any of the above or need more information, please contact the church at

We have rescheduled the Memorial Service from Sunday, June 12th to Friday, June 10th at 5:30 pm. This new date and time will allow families with children to be together. The service is specifically dedicated and designed for those who have experienced the pain of loss. It will be an evening service where we gather together as a community for love and support.

Important Note: If you wish to attend this service you must let the office know how many are planning to attend. If there is someone you would want to be remembered at this service then you must include their name(s) as well. We are wanting to produce a roster of those we have lost as a part of the service and make it as personal to you and your family as possible.

Please send names and the number of people coming to the service to

Village Green Community Church will be partnering with two camp organizations, Forest Cliff Day Camps and Adullam Camp, to provide Day Camp opportunities in July 2022. The two camps will be held at Village Green Community Church.

Forest Cliff Day Camp will run from Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 15, 2022. Click here to register for Forest Cliff Camp

Adullam Camps will run from Monday, July 18 – Friday, July 22, 2022. Click here to register for Adullam Camp

On Saturday, May 14th, the Board, Elders, and Staff will meet for a one-day retreat as we look ahead and plan for the future. It has been a difficult two years, to say the least, and this will be an important gathering to assess where we are and where we need to invest our ministry resources.

We ask that you would be in prayer for the leadership as they meet so that we have a heart of unity and a sensitivity to the leading of the Spirit throughout the meeting and into the next season as well.
