Welcome to June’s newsletter for Village Green Community Church. We are concluding our series, Only Jesus, the first week of June and will have guest speakers for part of June and into July.
We also want to remind you that we have our Communion service on June 5th, so if you are part of the online community and want to participate, please make sure to have the elements ready.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
We are having a Memorial Service on Friday, June 10th at 5:30 pm. The service is specifically dedicated and designed for those who have experienced the pain of loss. It will be an evening service where we gather together as a community for love and support.
Important Note: If you wish to attend this service you must let the office know how many are planning to attend. If there is someone you would want to be remembered at this service then you must include their name(s) as well. We are wanting to produce a roster of those we have lost as a part of the service and make it as personal to you and your family as possible. Please send names and the number of people coming to the service to leadpastor@villagegreenchurch.com.
LIFE GROUPS
The first week of June is the final week for Life Groups for this session. The groups take a break for the summer. The next session starts the week of September 18th when we begin a new series entitled, Messy Life!
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – ANNUAL REPORT
Our next congregational meeting is on Sunday, June 26, right after the morning service. We will be accepting the audited financial statements as well as the new slate of officers for the 2022-2023 ministry season.
If you are a member, please make it a priority to attend the meeting. We need a certain number of members present in order to proceed with the meeting.
Our yearly Annual Report will soon be available. Watch for it the first week of June.
BASEBALL SEASON IS UPON US!
The Village Green slow-pitch season has started. All games are at Weldon Park in Arva on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The chart below has the dates and times. Why not come and cheer the team on!

DAY CAMPS COMING THIS JULY!
Village Green Community Church will be partnering with two camp organizations, Forest Cliff Day Camps and Adullam Camp, to provide Day Camp opportunities in July 2022. The two camps will be held at Village Green Community Church.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
As we continue to experience the post-pandemic world, we are greatly encouraged by the new visitors we see every Sunday morning. Please pray that we will see people come and stay and help them to experience the Gospel in tangible ways here at Village Green.
