Partnerships that Matters

One of the partnerships we enjoy as a church is with London Community Chaplaincy. Their work within the community is touching lives in significant ways. They have produced a video as a thank you and as a way of seeing the important work they are doing to help people.

You can grab the video here.

The Book of Acts

The Book of Acts is an inspiring historical account of the rise and explosive growth of the early church. In this study, we will look at questions such as, “How did the church grow in the midst of a pluralistic world?” “What was the compelling message that drew people in?” These questions and much more will be tackled as we deep dive into the Book of Acts.

The series will start on Monday, March 1st at 7:00 pm EST and will run for 12 weeks. The hour-long series will run on YouTube and you can grab the link and notes at www.jkorkidakis.com. You will find them under the “YouTube Series” tab and then the page for “The Book of Acts.”

If you’ve ever wanted to understand the Book of Acts, especially in light of the recent debates about the purpose and mission of the church, then don’t miss this opportunity to grow in your understanding of this divinely ordained institution we call THE CHURCH!

Coming Sunday, March 21st!

Remember to mark your calendar when I will be joined by our Board Chair, Al Vanderlaan, for a “State of the Church” address. We will be reporting on a number of important updates and a financial report. Don’t miss it!

Baptism and Membership

We are looking forward to better weather (at least I am!). As part of that anticipation, we want to plan for a baptismal and/or membership service to accommodate those who have put these on hold due to the pandemic.

If you have been considering baptism or church membership, why not contact the church and let us know so we can plan accordingly. You can let your intentions be known at office@villagegreenchurch.com.

Giving that Matters

We want to thank you for your continued support of the many ministries here at Village Green. Our community is stronger and lives are being touched because of your generosity.

Here is how you can make a difference:
1. Drop off your offering at the church, either in the mailbox at the front entrance or in the basket when entering service on Sunday mornings (When physical meetings are allowed).
2. Use the following link to go to the Giving Page on our website, www.villagegreenchurch.com.
3. You can give through e-transfer by going to envelopes@villagegreenchurch.com. please make sure your address is up to date and on file if you use this option.

A New Series

The end of March signals the Easter season, beginning with Palm Sunday on March 28th. We will begin a new series entitled About a Cross as we learn and reflect on the pivotal role of the cross in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it serves as an ultimate symbol of God’s love.

The series will conclude on Easter Sunday and we will be celebrating Communion during the Good Friday service. This year, the Good Friday service will not have in-person attendance but will be an online service only.

Blessing for the week ahead and hope to see you on Sunday, either in-person or online!

Jon Korkidakis
