We welcome you to another instalment of our weekly blog. Make sure to check for any updates on events and schedules that may be important for you and your family.
Update on our Livestream
As many of you know, we have been experiencing issues over the past several weeks with the consistency of our livestream. In contacting our service provider we were able to determine two things. First, our in-house equipment is working properly. Secondly, when the technician went to check the integrity of the signal coming into our building they found that the physical box outside has sunk and is sitting in water.

They are coming back to determine what can be done to correct the problem and ensure we have a consistent signal for our services. Should the box not be accessible for repair due to freezing, they have assured us of a temporary fix until such time that the weather allows for a permanent repair.
For now, we are thankful for your patience and for sticking by us. If we do experience more pauses or freezing, may we encourage you to take the opportunity to pray, send a message to someone in the church, or join in on the live chat.
Like and Share
Last week we began encouraging you to not only “like” the stream and social media posts but to “share” them as well. Many of you responded and last Sunday we saw a significant increase in live views, especially on Facebook.

In the social media world the more we ‘share’, the more opportunity exists for the church to touch a life that we may never have been able to reach before. We are experiencing such ugly rhetoric on many social media platforms that wouldn’t it be nice to share something inspirational and uplifting?
Leadership Visioning Day
On January 23rd, the Elders, Board of Directors, and Staff will be meeting to discuss a vision plan for this year. The year ahead has many challenges, and we are gathering together early to discuss and plan accordingly. It will be a time of deciding where we need to focus our resources and energy as a church and how we can best serve the needs of our community. Please be in prayer for the team as we discern the will of the Lord and the leading of the Spirit of God.
Kids Connection Survey
As we plan for 2021, one of the areas we need in terms of feedback is Kids Connection. If you are a parent we would love to hear how we can support your family and your children during this time. We really need your constructive feedback and the survey will take about 5-10 minutes of your time. Thanks so much!
Tax Receipts

Tax receipts are now available and will only be sent by email or direct mail. Please contact envelopes@villagegreenchurch.com to direct them to mail or email your receipts to you. It is very important that the church has your current address. Please email any address changes to envelopes@villagegreenchurch.com.
Life Groups, Messages, and More!
We continue with The Future Me series this Sunday. Our Life Groups are in full swing as well. If you want to know more about our groups or to sign up you can contact the church at office@villagegreenchurch.com.
Coming mid-February is a new series looking at the life of the prophet Elijah. During the time that Elijah lived, the world was spinning out of control. The nation was in upheaval, there was a devastating drought, and epic opposition. Through it all, Elijah overcame it and remained faithful to his calling from the Lord. A timely series you won’t want to miss.
Finally, we hope to be sharing some exciting news and further updates in the weeks ahead. Until then, stay safe, stay healthy and stay connected.
Blessings,
Jon Korkidakis
