As we enter the month of March we are also experiencing the seasonal shift into spring. It has been quite the winter! As we look at the ministry side of things, March is full of new and exciting events so hope you take some time and see what this month has in store at Village Green.
MARCH SCHEDULE
We continue our series, The Book: Distant Voices, Timeless Truths. The series concludes the week of March 23rd which is also the last week of Life Groups for this session. Life Groups begin again the week of April 6th, which is only a week break between series.

This is our monthly Communion Service. This is also when Daylight Savings begins which means that the clocks go ahead one hour.

BUDGET SEASON
Our Congregational Budget Meeting is scheduled for March 30th immediately following the service. This is when we have the opportunity to vote for the new budget and to hear other important updates on the financial and spiritual health of the church.
Members of the Board will be available after the service on March 9th and 16th in the Staff Meeting Room (just past the main washrooms) to answer any questions regarding the budget. This is your opportunity to sit down with a Board member to have any questions answered that you may have concerning the budget.
Budget documents are now available at the Welcome Centre in the foyer.
SOUP SUNDAY
Mark March 23rd on your calendars for the next Soup Sunday at Village Green! As many of you know we are still awaiting electrical upgrades which caused cancellation of this event last month.
By all accounts the work should be complete so please pray to that end. If they are not complete, we will have to postpone again. Sign up sheets will be available in the foyer for those of you interested in providing soup.
CELEBRATION SUNDAY
Sunday, March 30th is our next Celebration Service. This is a service where we take some time to pause and celebrate what God is doing in and through the ministries here at Village Green.
These could be anything from baptisms, testimonies, ministry updates, memberships, parental dedications, interviews, and so much more. Over the years, we have used these services to remind us of God’s faithfulness and to acknowledge the ways that God is touching people’s lives in significant ways. If you are interested in being part of this service, contact the church at office@villagegreenchurch.com.
We will also be featuring on the 30th, the various ministries and areas where you can serve. If you have been wondering where to serve here at Village Green, this may be the service you’ve been waiting for.
SUMMER CAMPS
This summer Village Green will host two camps:
Forest Cliff Camps July 7-11 and Adullam Camps Aug 4-8. The church has scholarships available for families needing financial assistance for students to attend. If interested, please pick up a form in the foyer or contact the office at office@villagegreenchurch.com for a digital version.

BASEBALL
Yup, you read that right. We are gearing up for another run at the World Series of church baseball. If you are interested in playing slow-pitch baseball this summer, you can contact the church at office@villagegreenchurch.com.
We are looking forward to another great season and another year of cheering the team on!
THEOLOGY JAM

LOOKING AHEAD!
Looking ahead to April, we will be entering the Easter Season with a brand-new 4-part series, entitled, Once for All Time.
Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection and much more. It is also a vivid reminder that what Jesus accomplished, is not a fixture of the past or a promise no longer applicable. His life, sacrifice, and Resurrection are a once and for all reality with no expiry date for all who believe.
Hope you plan to join us for the series that celebrates the greatest and most profound truth in human history. The series starts April 6th and is also the next start date for the next session of Life Groups.
We have an exciting month ahead in March, as well as an Easter lineup in April that is sure to inspire and bless you. I also want to take a moment to thank you for the way you serve and support the ministry here at Village Green. We so appreciate all that you do for the Kingdom of Christ!
