Al became a Christian at the age of 18 through Bev. In August of 1980, Al and Bev were married. They started attending Village Green on January 10, 1981. Al has attended Bible studies since arriving at Village Green and has previously served on the Board for a couple of terms. He is a retired mechanic from London Transit Commission. He likes yard work and riding his motorcycle
