Village Green Update – Special Lockdown Edition

Village Green Update – Special Lockdown Edition

The government recently announced further lockdowns which pose new restrictions on the church in the weeks that lie ahead.

What Does it Mean?

The new restrictions are in effect until January 23rd, 2021. In light of this, there will be NO in-person attendance on Sunday mornings until January 24th at the earliest. Should further lockdowns be imposed beyond the 23rd, we will update you at that time.

The services will be fully live-streamed as normal, so nothing changes with respect to our being able to deliver meaning and hope directly into your homes. As many have pointed out, this pandemic has allowed God’s house to come to yours.

With respect to other meetings, such as Bible Study groups, Youth, etc., the allowable maximum is 10 people. This also includes the mandate of masks and physical distancing. If your group falls into this category please make appropriate arrangements for your group or contact the church office for further direction.

What to Remember?

Here are some important notes we don’t want you to forget:

Remember, to tune in to our Christmas Eve service, The Gift of Belief. The service will be streamed to YouTube and Facebook (the link can also be found on our website) and will begin at 6:00 pm EST. You are not going to want to miss this service! I have a feeling it is going to be one of the brighter moments, in an otherwise dismal year for many.

We will be having a candle lighting ceremony at the end of the service, so if you would like to participate, please have candles ready.

Remember, December 27th is Volunteer Appreciation Sunday. In other words, there is NO service, online, or in-person on December 27th. It is a time for everyone to pause, give thanks to the Lord, and enjoy a time of rest before the New Year and a new season of work and responsibilities.

Remember, to tune in on January 3rd, 2021, for our first service of the New Year! Matthew Burkholder will be speaking and Dale Mackness will be leading us in Communion (have communion elements ready at home if you want to participate).

Remember, that on January 10th we begin a new sermon series, The Future Me. It also signals the start of a new Life Group session. You can contact the office if you are interested in being part of a group.

If you have any questions you can reach the church at office@villagegreenchurch.com

Stay safe and stay healthy this holiday season,
Merry Christmas from all of us at Village Green Community Church
