Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” (Luke 2:8-14 NLT)

As you enjoy this holiday, may the wonder of that first Christmas fill you and your family with hope and peace. Throughout the difficulties that have marked the year 2020, faith in Christ remains the solid foundation for weathering the storms of life.

As a community of faith, Village Green is committed to helping you grow your faith deeper in Christ. May you know on this day that celebrates the incarnation, the deep, abiding love that God has for you. So, on behalf of everyone at Village Green Community Church, Merry Christmas!

In Christ;
Jon Korkidakis

Don’t forget that December 27th is Volunteer Appreciation Sunday and therefore there is NO service, online, or in-person on December 27th. It is a time for everyone to pause, give thanks to the Lord, and enjoy a time of rest before the New Year and a new season of work and responsibilities.
