Village Green hosted a special evening on May 4th, and over 100 women shared in the celebration. There were beautiful decorations by Rose, tables of delicious desserts, and lots of smiles. Rose and Julia sang a beautiful duet, supported by Brenda on the keyboard. And undaunted by the power outage, Robin sang a lovely hymn.
The guest speaker was Sue Das, whose Beyond the Shadow blog has been a growing success for almost a year. As she shows in her “blog for ordinary people who want to live extraordinary lives”, Sue is a wonderful encourager, and a heartfelt presenter. Said Sue afterwards: The whole event was such an example of what can happen when a whole lot of us work together.
