Village Green – Easter Update

Village Green – Easter Update

Welcome to this week’s newsletter. A special update considering this will be the first time in history that the church around the world is celebrating the Easter season in ways it never has before. Regardless, the church and the message of Easter will resonate in millions of communities around the globe and into the hearts of many more.

The apostle Paul knew well what it was like to live a life of restrictions, having been imprisoned many times for preaching the Gospel. From a jail cell he wrote the following.

Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach. And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained (Emphasis added)(2Tim. 2:8-9).

As we prepare for the Easter weekend I want to remind you of a number of items. Also, we are combining this update with the Kid’s Connection newsletter that is normally sent separately, in order to keep everything in one place. This newsletter has a lot of information so please take time to check it out. Lastly, why not pass it along in case there is someone you know who would benefit from the information.

Good Friday (April 10th)

The live stream of the Good Friday service will begin at the usual 10:00 am start time. We will be serving Communion at this service and we are asking those who want to participate to prepare bread and juice for your family at home.

Easter Sunday (April 12th)

The live stream begins at 10:00 am. We hope you will join us for this special and unique Easter service and message. In fact, why not invite others to be a part of God’s most profound message of love and hope.

Kids Connection

The ministry of Village Green to our kids is vitally important so we are once again sending the links to the First Look and 252 teaching videos.

Easter Sunday: https://bit.ly/39xwVnx.

In case you missed it last week, we are also including a resource series from NewSpring church which includes family lessons, activity pages, videos, and much more.

Best Day Ever At Home

Can You Help?

London Community Chaplaincy is in need of help. They do food distribution as well as help households that are in crisis situations. Below is a list of their top 5 food items:

  • Canned meat/tuna
  • Peanut butter
  • Chunky soup
  • Pasta
  • Pasta sauce

They are also looking for 1 or 2 drivers for Wednesday afternoons at 3 pm to help drop off food. This is a simple drop and go service.

As needs in our communities continue to escalate we have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many. You can reach out to them at:
