Welcome to this week’s update from Village Green Community Church. Here are a few new items as well as some timely reminders for the upcoming week.
Communion
This Sunday is our regular Communion time (May 3rd). Make sure you have bread and juice ready so your family can participate in the service.
Leadership Retreat
As May approaches, so does our yearly Leadership Retreat. This year, the Retreat will be conducted over a course of three online meetings on May 13, 20, and 27. It is an important time for the Elders, Board, and Staff to assess our ministries and create a strategic plan for the next year and more.
In light of the changes we are all experiencing, this year’s Retreat has added significance. As part of our Vision 2020, we began a process of determining what the church will need to have in place and in process in order to thrive for the next decade. The present pandemic has made this an even greater priority.
Therefore, we are making the month of May a month of prayer and fasting. A time of asking the Lord for wisdom, guidance, and direction for Vision 2020. Please join with us in praying together for Village Green as we seek to honour the Lord in all we do.
Kids Connection
Orange continues to expand its resources for stay at home families. Every Sunday morning, they will stream their weekly teaching and worship video experiences. These will also include parent/child conversation guides, activities, and much more.
Simply go to theparentcue.org/faith to view the video experience for each grade level.
You can also download the free Parent Cue app from their website for Apple and Android devices.
How to Study the Bible – Now into Week 4!
Join us every Monday evening at 8:00 pm, for a YouTube Live study on How to Study the Bible. To be part of the study you can search on YouTube for livestream/jonkorkidakis or find the links on facebook.com/jkorkidakis. or on my website at www.jkorkidakis.com

Ways to Give
A reminder that you can now use envelopes@villagegreenchurch.com to make e-transfers to the church, as well as the PayPal portal on our website: villagegreenchurch.com. You can also drop off your offerings through the mail slot at the church. It is checked on a regular basis.
