Dale Mackness

I did not become a Christian until age 24 so I missed the joy and wonderful experience of growing up in an evangelical church. Janet and I were married just a few months after my conversion and I felt called to return to school to study theology a year later. I graduated from Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener at age 29 and became a pastor in Hamilton for 12 years followed by 9 years in London. We were blessed with 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Some of my work involved community service including service with Promise Keepers. I also was able to start back part-time pastoring for 7 years as an English Ministry Pastor in a Chinese Alliance Church prior to coming to Village Green in 2009.
I appreciate the inter-denominational flavour of our church as I have always enjoyed fellowship with pastors and leaders from many denominations. I believe that God has gifted me with the gifts of help, pastoring, hospitality and giving. I am involved in the Prayer Ministry, Men’s Breakfasts, Men’s morning Bible Study, Soup Sunday, Benevolence Ministry, Community Care, Ark Aid, and Life Groups.
